Utilizing Video in Your Online Marketing Strategies Video Transcript
Hi and welcome back to Tuesday's Tips in Online Marketing. Today is Tuesday August 26th, 2008 and I'm Li Evans of KeyRelevance and Search Marketing Gurus. In today's edition we're going to talk about utilizing video for your online marketing strategies, so lets get to it.
Give Your Videos Relevant, Eye-Catching Titles
What you want to look at first for utilizing video in your online marketing strategies is actually the title of your video. You want to make sure it is relevant to what your video is about, as well as making sure it is eye catching and it draws people in that they want to watch it. So you also want to make sure you are using the word Video in your title. Because this helps the search engines understand that this is all about a video and what the video is all about.
Make Sure To Tag Your Videos & Tag Your Videos Properly
The next thing you want to look at when you are utilizing your videos is making sure you tag your video. A lot of the different video sharing services allow you to tag your video with relevant key terms. So you want to make sure you are looking at whether they require you to use a space between keywords, or whether to use a comma or even a semi colon. This will allow you to know whether or can group your words such as online video as two separate words or do you need to use it as one. So when you are uploading your videos to the video sharing services make sure you tag them and are tagging them properly.
Create Good Video Descriptions & Include Links To Your Site
The third tip we want to look at for today is creating a good description. People look at these descriptions and they actual read them. They are looking to see who's in the video, what's the video really about before they even watch it, do they want to waste their time if its not really what they want to watch. They also click on links that are within that description. Even if the link is no-followed, there is still some value there for the traffic gained by people clicking on that actual link within the description of that video.
Embed Your Video on Your Website or Blog
The fourth tip that we have is embed your video. Use the embed code that these video share sites actually give you. It will help with the distribution of your video, not just on your blog but when someone sees it on your blog, they can embed it on their blog. Emedding helps to get it to spread virally or get the word out about your video, and also starts to give your video a little more relevance for what your video is about.
Link To Your Video - It Builds Relevancy
The last tip we have for utilizing your videos for your online marketing strategy is to make sure you are link to your video. Linking to your video is very important. And it because not only does it drive the relevancy, but also again, just like embedding the video - it starts to spread the word about your video. So with different video sharing sites as well, the more links coming into the video, the more relevant they see this video as. So its important to get links coming into your video as well as embedding it.
So those are you five tips for utilizing video in your online marketing strategy. I am Li Evans for Search Marketing Gurus and KeyRelevance and as always you can find a transcript of this video at SearchMarketingGurus.com. Stop back next week for some more tips.

Hi,
Video sharing is all the rage these days. We all want to share our videos, to share our passions and the things we like. There are so many sites around to publish our videos on the web that it is sometimes hard to make a choice. We know some of them like YouTube, Revver or Dailymotion, but there are so many others competing to be the number one, or targeting a specific audience, whether geographically (China, Japan, Turkey...), by language (German, Arabic, French...) or for the kind of content they enable to publish (cooking, planes, extreme sports...).
I have compiled a growing list of nearly 800 video sharing sites, video search engines, and video download sites that you can check at http://www.ilikesharingvideos.com
For each of them, you will get useful information such as their history, the country from which most of their visitors come, their niche, their rank, their latest news...
This site offers some other interesting features, like a forum about online videos, how to make money with your videos, how to create your own YouTube site, etc.
So if you are interested in video sharing or online video marketing, give an eye to this site, it worths it.
Cheers
