SES Japan: Tokyo - Motoko Hunt to Host Event
Search Engine Strategies has some great news coming our way. The latest venue to be added to SES's expanding conference locations for 2008 is Japan! What's even more exciting about this announcement is who's going to be hosting the event.
Last week's featured Women of Internet Marketing, Motoko Hunt, will be host of this event. Tentatively it is slated to be held in Tokyo in April 2008. Motoko being selected as chair is really a great choice, she's a native of Japan, has her own Japanese SEO/SEM firm and she has established contacts and knowledge of the country - who better to lead the conference!
"I am very excited this great opportunity to work with Incisive Media to bring SES back to Japan. SES went to Japan 3 times in past, but this time, we are planning to make it more conference focused. Japan has very unique SEO/SEM land scape, and we take that into consideration in creating the programs," Motoko explained to me when I asked her about the new venue.
The Search Engine Strategies events have become increasingly popular, especially abroad. A lot of companies are sending their employees to attend the big events, such as SES San Jose. Motoko pointed out to me that she
"saw many Japanese SEO/SEM professionals at the SES San Jose. They are always
looking for the reliable industry information, and they know SES is where you
can get the information and the knowledge. I am sure that SES Tokyo will be
very well received."
Congratulation Motoko, and I know we are all looking forward to SES Japan-Toyko!

Any updates on SES in Tokyo? I've checked the SES calendar, but there's still nothing listed for Tokyo in April. I'm just outside of Tokyo and am really looking forward to an event like this here in Japan.
