Just in time for the Easter holiday and for SESin New York City, what do I come down with? A cold from the utter depths of cold hell (oxymoronic right?). I was down for the count Friday and Saturday, started feeling somewhat human again this morning. Thus the lack of posting here at SMG - so my apologies to all our readers, there wasn't much writing between coughing and sneezing.
I'm gaining my voice back, (I think that's a good thing!) just in time to give my two presentations at Search Engine Strategies. I'll be speaking at the Search Engines & Images session on Thursday 4/12 and then on the Search & Regulated Industries session on Friday 4/13.
Some great news, although a little sad too - our Women of Internet Marketing luncheon is full! We've got a great group of women attending and this is definitely going to be a great time. I'm still waiting to see if SEO Fan Guy will be brave enough to fill that last spot I've saved for him to join us (anyone willing to take odds on this?).
So what's going to go on this coming week? Well, both Greg Meyers and I will be helping out Barry Schwartz's Search Engine Roundtable's coverage of the entire SES 2007 NYC conference. Throughout the week, you'll see coverage by the both of us and I'll make sure to put the links up directly to the entires on SE Roundtable. Here's the rest of what we're up to for the week, and make sure you read to the end!
Greg and I are heading up tomorrow morning (Monday) and will be attending the Hitwise training and cocktail hour. Then, it's off to grab some grub with David & Irma (the cutest couple in all of Search) and then onto the IM-NY Charity Event.
Tuesday, we're covering morning sessions, then are joining the rest of the group to see a taping of the David Letterman show. Then its the SEMPO mixer, dinner and likely the Hilton bar. We're not special enough to get invited to that Search Engine's private party or that fancy schmancy private dinner.
Thursday is my 1st panel to speak on, our Women of Internet Marketing luncheon. Some of us have been kicking around the idea of doing our usual Chinese Restaurant dinner - any other takers? We don't have SEO FanGirl to guide us this time (*boo hoo!*) but I'm also hoping the cheese will not follow us either.
Friday, speaking on the first session of the day and then conference coverage, then it's packing up and heading back to the wonderful city of brotherly love. I also almost left this out - but it sort of goes without saying. Pictures will appear as I can get them uploaded!
Now, if you've made it to the end of this post - make sure you hit me or Greg up for some really special Search Marketing Gurus blog schwag! That's right, we've got some official SMG schwag - it's not hats, nor is it beads! You have to come and find us to find out what it is!
See you at SES!
